Spring Dressing

The weather is finally catching up to my mindset.

I disappeared there for a minute to perform my civic duty, jury duty, to be more specific. So, I apologize. However, I’m back to my centering routines along with a few new hobbies. I’ve been learning some basic CSS and HTML on the side after getting my certificate for wrapping up with the Let’s Learn About Beauty program in its entirety.

I’ve gone through it once, and I plan to go through it again, this time taking more detailed notes. I recently debated going back to school to study beauty product development, but I didn’t want to be a chemist, which is what most programs require. I really just wanted the knowledge of specific ingredients and how they come to be in products, and I got that and so much more.

I also have some very exciting personal updates, but I can’t reveal them just yet. Wait and see!

Anyway, I’ve been in shopping mode. (Duh!) And I have so many fabulous things in my cart.

It’s finally feeling like spring again in Cincinnati. And by that, I mean the typical couple of hours of warm sunshine followed by two days of on-and-off storms. It’s been like this since March, with no signs of getting any better. One can only hope the April showers will be over soon, after all, we’re technically in May.

On the days with a few hours in between where I feel it’s safe enough to leave my home, I’ve depended on a few no-fail uniforms to get me through.

I love a slew of neutral basics that I can throw together to feel dressed up without putting in much effort.

I’ve been into sweater vests since this past winter. This time, they’re airier and layering-friendly for the occasional cold gust. Paired with a summer-ready bag and strappy sandals, I’m ready to go.

My love for Mango only developed after a trip to Spain, where my luggage didn’t make it until three full days after I did. It was the perfect excuse to buy myself a new wardrobe, and it started at Mango, where I learned that in the US, I may be a size small, but in Spain, I’m definitely a size medium. Anyway, the elevated basics swept me away, and even my husband couldn’t resist the men’s section.

I can’t resist throwing together neutral basics and breaking it up with a hint of denim. Plus, this red patent leather bag is begging for attenton.

I’m trying to do a better job this year of embracing the simplicity of dresses. Although, I still stress about when it’s finally time to shave my legs again. (According to my growth pattern, it would be just a few hours after the last shaving session.)

Linen is a spring and summer savior, and this subtle fit-and-flare silhouette is exactly what I need when I’m not in the mood to get dressed, but I’m in desperate need of a pick-me-up.
